On the Road Again

The international academy hit the road again with visits to Malta, Egypt and Cyprus. The Cyprus trip was a great success with the I.A. working with the British Forces for a week long camp in happy valley. We did several radio interviews with British forces broadcast service and did forces TV which went out all over the world including Iraq and Afghanistan so hopefully we made a few of our boys and girls smile.

The camp was attended by 70 young boys and girls from 6-18 years old all the kids on the camp had parents in the forces some on active duty. We even had our captain marvels Kevin Nolan's nephew on who hopes one day to play along side Kevin. We put the boys and girls through there paces with 4 coaches from our Academy they learnt numerous skills like 1v1s, tricks, turns, passing plus our fitness testing to see if they hit the bench marks they also had a classroom session on match preparation.

The forces welcomed us and really looked after us with Sergeant Paul Fraser our forces liasion officer looking to get us all over the world and home with our brave men and women of the forces. We will be returning to the British forces Cyprus and look forward to working with the Kings regiment who will be based there in October.
